The meeting had started before it was realized that no one was taking the minutes as the Secretary was not there.
    The brief Treasurers report was read and she was going to send a written report in, as of yet it has not been received.
     Debbie Ciampi announced she had taken the Finance Chair for only one year and it we now up. We need someone to step up.  Thanks were given to Debbie for her efforts.
    Kathy Birdsall announced the Ellsworth Christmas parade will be Dec. 5th.  If anyone would like to lead that so the Republicans would be seen, please volunteer.  No one did.
    The  Republican Women are having a bake sale and raffle on Dec. 12th. Baked goods are needed, please contact Grace Shea.
    Gete Thompson spoke about the Lincoln day Dinner on February 19, 2010.  It will be held at Boggy Brook in Ellsworth.  All candidates for Governor have been invited.  We hope all local candidates will attend, to be seen and become known.
    Charla Bansly and Richard Deckus ran to be elected for the platform to represent Hancock County.  Charla had announced weeks prior to the meeting she would be running.  Richard Deckus was nominated from the floor.  Charla won.

             Michael Povich will not run again, he has been DA for nine terms.

                    House District 36---------Jackie Spofford
                    House District 37---------Gay Leach
    Jason Levesque was our speaker.  He is running for the U.S. House of Represntives from the 2nd District.   He was filled with enthusiasm and was interesting. Click HERE to see excerpts of his remarks.
